MAGAZINE
Stephan Trüby is one of Germany’s leading architectural theorists. He holds the chair of the Institute for Principles of Modern Architecture at the University of Stuttgart and has taught at several institutions, including the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design, Zurich University of the Arts, Harvard University and the Technical University of Munich. He was Head of Research and Development for the Venice Architecture Biennale in 2014, which was curated by Rem Koolhaas under the theme of “Elements”.
In his curated issue of Baumeister, Stephan Trüby gives us some exclusive insights into his work for the Biennale. He also explores 100 years of modernism and asks what the term means for individual countries. At the same time, he shines the spotlight on something often overlooked during the hustle and bustle of the Biennale: the city of Venice itself.
Please note: Unfortunately, this issue is no longer available as a print version, but can still be purchased as an ePaper (only in german language).
